   Tidyplates: Threat Plates Alternative

   Hi all,

   I haven't played for a year and i recently came back and downloaded the newest version of ElvUI but i can't figure out how to get the enemy/friendly nameplates to work. They keep moving far above their respective targets and then they just go out the top of the screen. Also whenever i accidentally click above someone, 90% of the time i'll just end up clicking their invisible nameplate and target them. Is there a way to revert back to the old nameplate system? I also noticed Tidyplates: Threatplates hasn't been updates for ages. Is there a new popular addon for nameplates?

   I don't use ElvUI so can't help with that issue.
   Tidyplates is updated. They are listed as beta releases atm and work just fine. Some prefer to use Kui nameplates. It is all about personal preference whatever nameplate addon you want to use.

   There's also an interface option (Interface > Names) called "Always show nameplates" which is off by default now. Took me a while to figure out that's why my tidyplates was only showing name plate on target, and not other mobs/players.

   Had no issues with it, it bugs out once every 10 loading screens, a simple /reloadui fixes it instantly.

    How do people say Kui is better than Tidy? Do I miss something? The options are really restricting in KUI.
    I think I would use kui only If I don't want to put in some time into getting the best out of Tidy.

    2 Days ago TPTP was picked up again as Tidy Plates: threat

    Some things I'm still missing is off Tank colour, Scale on casting units, and the Threat Scaling not overwriting the normal Scaling.
    But the other important features like costum Nameplates are functioning and in there.

    It will only show color for full threat or offtank threat, not if there are loose mobs. Dps kept complaining about having aggro on HFC trash.

    to your main question:

    you can download AdvancedInterfaceOptions and set the Namepladerange to 40 this shoudl prevent the nameplates from moving out of your screen.
    if you want to increse the distance you see them you can try to activate the "Nameplade at bottom" option.

    if you have problems that certain nameplades are active/inactive that you don't want use the "CVar Browser" option and search for "nameplateshow" and set the options you want to 1(active) or 0(inactive). The names of the options should be self explaining(Namepladeshowall displays every nameplate instead of only the one you target, so this should be set to 1)

    if you have generaly trouble selecting a target you may wana try Enemy Grid or iTargetFrame.

    if kui is buggy you can send a bug report on curse the autor is pretty active.

    you can use TargetNameplateIndicator if you want a better indicator for your target (you need to change the image in the lua file, the defoult one isnt that good).
